Ranveer Singh's 'Dhurandhar 2' Sets Box Office Record with Massive Paid Preview Collections Ahead of Official Release

Mumbai. The highly anticipated film 'Dhurandhar: The Revenge' (Dhurandhar 2), starring Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh and directed by Aditya Dhar, has created a tsunami at the box office even before its official release. This film, set to release on March 19, has established a new benchmark in Indian cinema history by earning record-breaking revenue from the 'Paid Preview' shows scheduled for March 18.

Outpaces 'Baahubali 2' and 'Stree 2' in Paid Previews

The film has earned Indian Rupees 27.13 crore in India through paid previews even before its release. This collection is nearly three times more than the recent blockbuster film 'Stree 2's' 8.5 crore.

With this, Dhurandhar 2 has also surpassed the preview records of big films like 'They Call Him OG' and 'Baahubali 2'. If blocked tickets are also included, the pre-release earnings in India are expected to reach 31.9 crore rupees.

Ticket Prices Up to 3100, Global Collection Nears 60 Crore

The craze for the film among fans is so high that a single ticket price in Mumbai has reached 3100 rupees and 2400 rupees in Delhi. More than 5.38 lakh tickets have been sold for the 9550 paid preview shows organized across the country.

The demand for the film is also high in the international market. Business worth 12.12 crore has already been done in the US and Canada alone, and looking at the worldwide paid preview collection, it is nearing 60 crore.

Estimate of Over 200 Crore on Opening Day

According to film analyst Taran Adarsh, this film is setting a new benchmark in Hindi cinema history. It is estimated that Dhurandhar 2 will open with more than 200 crore rupees worldwide on its first day of release, March 19.

Directed and written by Aditya Dhar, the film stars veteran actors like Sanjay Dutt, R. Madhavan, and Arjun Rampal alongside Ranveer Singh. The film is being released in five languages: Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada.

'Dhurandhar', the first part released earlier, created a sensation by earning 1303 crore rupees worldwide. It became the highest-grossing Hindi single-language film in India alone, collecting a net of 836.95 crore. Furthermore, it is also the most successful 'A' rated film in Indian cinema.
