Nepal Oil Corporation Urges Prudent LPG Purchase Amid Global Supply Concerns

Kathmandu. The Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) has requested everyone to purchase Liquefied Petroleum (LPG) gas only as per their needs and refrain from unnecessary hoarding. The corporation has requested gas industrialists and LPG sellers to arrange the sale and distribution of LPG gas by prioritizing consumers using it for domestic purposes.

Issuing a statement, the NOC stated that although the ongoing war in the Middle East is globally affecting the supply of petroleum products and LPG, the corporation is managing the supply and distribution of petroleum products and LPG on a regular basis.

The NOC stated, "The corporation once again requests gas industrialists across the country to publicize the quantity, address, and contact number of sales to retailers from their respective industries by 10:00 AM every day and inform the corporation. Furthermore, retailers of the concerned industry are requested to keep details of the name, contact number, and quantity sold to the consumers and inform the corporation daily through the concerned industry."

The corporation also announced that, in view of the current situation, to streamline the LPG supply and distribution system and facilitate consumers in receiving gas as per their demand, all gas industries have been arranged to market 7.1 kg of LPG gas per cylinder at a price of NPR 955 per cylinder, effective from Friday until further notice."
