Nepali Community in Barcelona Launches 'Nepal Ghar' Campaign with Spiritual Festival Fundraiser

Barcelona. Nepali residents living in Barcelona, Spain, have launched the 'Nepal Ghar' (Nepal House) construction campaign to preserve their shared identity and culture. To financially support this campaign, a five-day 'Historic Spain Spiritual Festival' is scheduled to be organized in April.

The festival, which will run from April 5 to 9, is set to feature renowned Nepali orator Pandit Dinabandhu Pokharel delivering discourses. Organizers stated that the special event, to be held at 'Sal ilde{A}n El Prado' in Barcelona, will include sermons based on the philosophies of the Vedas and Buddha, alongside devotional songs (bhajans and kirtans).

This initiative was taken due to the growing Nepali population in Spain feeling the lack of a common place that reflects their original art, religion, and culture. The organizers' statement mentioned that the goal of constructing 'Nepal Ghar' is specifically to connect the new generation with Nepali traditions and keep their pride alive in the diaspora.

This five-day spiritual festival will operate daily from 11 AM to 10 PM. Pandit Pokharel's presence has led this program to be viewed as the largest spiritual gathering in Spain to date. Organizers have urged all Nepalis residing in various cities across Spain to participate in this noble cause and help make the campaign a success.
