Yash Raj Films' Female-Led Spy Thriller 'Alpha' Set for July 2026 Release

Mumbai. Yash Raj Films' highly anticipated action film centered on a female lead, 'Alpha,' under their Spy Universe, is set to release in cinemas on July 10, 2026. The production house officially announced the film's release date via social media.

The film, starring Alia Bhatt and Sharvari Wagh in lead roles, was previously rumored for a 2025 release, but the date was postponed due to production delays. The film will be released simultaneously in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu.

Another interesting discussion circulated in the market regarding 'Alpha.' According to some media outlets, the OTT platform Netflix had made a massive offer of 215 crore Indian Rupees to release the film directly on its platform.

However, producer Aditya Chopra and his team rejected this attractive offer. Since films in the Spy Universe are known for the big screen and cinematic experience, the production team remains firm on the decision to release it in theaters.

In the film, Alia Bhatt and Sharvari Wagh will be seen in the role of spies for the first time, where their action avatars will be witnessed.

Veteran actors Anil Kapoor and Bobby Deol are also in important roles alongside them. However, the production house has not yet revealed any secret information about their characters. The film, announced in 2024, is directed by Shiv Rawail.

With the release date set for July 10, 'Alpha' appears poised to secure a good position at the box office. As this film arrives about a month after superstar Yash's film 'Toxic' was released on June 4, it is unlikely to face a shortage of screens in cinema halls.
