JSP Leader Sharad Singh Bhandari Congratulates Rastriya Swatantra Party on Election Success

Kathmandu. Sharad Singh Bhandari, a leader of the Janata Samajbadi Party, Nepal, has extended congratulations to the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) for achieving significant success in the House of Representatives elections.

Bhandari stated that the crucial responsibility now is to further strengthen and institutionalize the historic achievements gained from the Madhes movement and the insistence of Madhesi forces, such as federalism, proportional inclusion, and identity-based rights. He expressed the expectation that the RSP would make responsible and honest efforts in fulfilling this duty.

According to him, the current mandate is not just a change of power but also a signal of the people's silent rebellion. Therefore, Bhandari emphasized that this mandate should be utilized in a direction that brings positive change to the state's thinking, system, and working style, rather than being limited to a change of individuals.

Leader Bhandari, who was defeated in Mahottari-2, expressed heartfelt gratitude to all the voters who trusted him and cast their votes. He mentioned that the people's affection, trust, and support have made him even more responsible. He considered the opportunity to engage in direct dialogue with the people by visiting villages, neighborhoods, and settlements during the election campaign as a significant experience.

Stating that he has always tried to work among the people alongside the development of social and political awareness, Bhandari expressed confidence that time and history will evaluate his contribution and dedication.

Stating that he was born and raised in the soil of Madhes, he committed to trying throughout his life to lessen, though never fully repay, the debt to his motherland. He also informed that he has continuously struggled for the rights, identity, and respect of Madhes and has tried to fulfill development expectations according to his capacity.

However, Bhandari admitted that not all achievements were realized as expected, acknowledging that there might have been strategic or tactical weaknesses in some areas.
