Nepali Congress Directs Committees to Appoint Representatives for Proportional Representation Vote Counting

Kathmandu. The Nepali Congress has directed its subordinate committees to appoint representatives for the counting of votes under the Proportional Representation (PR) category from the House of Representatives election held on Falgun 21. The party's central office issued a letter giving this directive to all district working committees and the working committees of all 165 electoral constituencies.

The letter, signed by the acting chief secretary of the Nepali Congress, Krishna Prasad Dulal, stated that in the context of the counting of votes for the PR category beginning in all 165 constituencies across the country, arrangements should be made for vote counting representatives in their respective constituencies.

Furthermore, they were also directed to send the list of appointed representatives to the party's central office as soon as possible. The letter stated, 'It is requested by directive to arrange for vote counting representatives at the counting site in your respective constituency and send their list to the center as soon as possible.'
