Public Accounts Committee Meeting Adjourned Due to Lack of Quorum

Kathmandu. The meeting of the Public Accounts Committee under the House of Representatives has been adjourned without convening due to lack of quorum. Committee Chairman Bharat Bahadur Khadka informed that the meeting was adjourned without convening as a quorum could not be met.

'Elections are being held in the districts of Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) and RSP MPs are absent from the committee and some situations have arisen in the general session, so a quorum could not be met. That's why we adjourned without convening,' Chairman Khadka told Ratopati. 'I have adjourned it until further notice. The general session has been called for the 25th. It is being prepared to be called around the 26th or 27th. It is not fixed.'

The meeting was scheduled to discuss the issue of reducing arrears with the accounting responsible officers and the internal procedures of the committee.
