Saptari Municipality Employees Condemn Disruption and Abuse

Saptari. Employees of Chhinnamasta Rural Municipality have objected to a group engaging in anarchic activities at the rural municipality's office. The employees condemned the incident through a press release on Thursday, stating that a group verbally and physically abused the 57-year-old Chief Administrative Officer Keshav Kumar Jha in his office during office hours on Wednesday.

The group entered the Chief Administrative Officer's office, abused him, pushed him from his chair, used abusive language, and caused significant damage by vandalizing public property, including the office's window panes, the statement said. The employees have demanded strict action against the perpetrators from the local administration.

The rural municipality's chairman, Vidyanand Chaudhary, stated that a group used students of Shree Secondary School Lalapatti incorrectly to demonstrate against the rural municipality, dragging the sacred area of the school into controversy.

The employees' statement also mentioned that despite the rural municipality having already provided physical facilities such as fans and drinking water in the school, an attempt was being made to establish a bad precedent in the educational sector by spreading false rumors.

Considering this difficult situation, the rural municipality's employees have made public a four-point demand. They have demanded that the local administration and police immediately identify and bring to justice the main planners and individuals involved in the abuse and vandalism in the office. Furthermore, concerned parties have been cautioned not to use children as a means to settle political scores, which could negatively impact their psychology and future.

The employees have stated that in the current situation where they feel unsafe, work may be disrupted until full assurance of peace and security necessary for office operations is provided and the perpetrators are punished.

The employees have collectively signed and appealed to all parties to take legal action against anyone who mocks the rule of law and legal system, and to not disrupt the development and peace of the rural municipality.
