Foreign Minister Khanal Asserts Government Commitment to Good Governance and Economic Growth

Kathmandu. Foreign Minister Shishir Khanal has stated that the government is committed to working on good governance and rapid economic development. He made this claim on Thursday while speaking at a program related to development discourse organized in Lalitpur.

Minister Khanal also said that all concerned parties need to work together to address the aspirations for change among the citizens. He stated that it is necessary to move forward with concrete and sustainable development partnership efforts to achieve the common goal of making the country prosperous.

He also said that Nepal's national interests will be advanced through the involvement of international development partners. Minister Khanal said that the government is working to strengthen partnerships with development partners, mobilize international cooperation, and ensure effective representation of Nepal's voice and priorities in regional and multilateral forums.

He said, 'The expectations of our citizens have changed, and it is necessary to work outside the traditional style to fulfill those aspirations. The government is ready to achieve the common goal of prosperity by collaborating with AIN with new energy.'

Minister Khanal also clarified that the work of social organizations can be made effective only by strengthening the local government. He said that development partner organizations should work in a way that makes the national efforts to advance the country's sustainable peace, development, and prosperity meaningful.
