CPN-UML Vice Chairman Bishnu Paudel Vows Self-Transformation After Election Defeat

Kathmandu. After being defeated in the House of Representatives election, CPN-UML Vice Chairman Bishnu Paudel has claimed that he will take the initiative to seriously review the mistakes and shortcomings made by the party and transform himself according to public expectations.

Writing on social media after his defeat in Rupandehi-2, Paudel also claimed that he would take the initiative to reorganize the CPN (UML)'s policy, leadership, organization, and working style according to public expectations.

“I express my commitment to take the initiative to seriously review the mistakes and shortcomings made by us in the past, to transform ourselves according to public expectations, and to reorganize the CPN (UML)'s policy, leadership, organization, and working style according to public expectations, and to remain unwavering in serving the people and the nation,” Paudel said.

He stated that the beauty of democracy is the mandate of the people and that he will respectfully and gladly accept the decision of the voters in Rupandehi Constituency Number 2.

Stating that winning and losing in an election is a natural process, he also mentioned that for him, Rupandehi, and especially Constituency Number 2, is not just an electoral constituency but a sacred soil.

“This is an integral part of my life and my field of work. The love for this soil and the affection of the people here are much higher and more precious to me than position or power,” Paudel said. “Whether I am in a position or not, my support and active involvement in the development and prosperity of Rupandehi and in the joys and sorrows of the brothers and sisters here will continue as before. I will always strive from my position to realize the dreams I have seen and the plans I have advanced for the prosperity of this constituency.”
