Army Disposes of Suspicious Pressure Cooker Found in Kathmandu's Budhanilkantha Area

Kathmandu. The Nepali Army team has disposed of a pressure cooker found in a suspicious condition at Chapali, Budhanilkantha Municipality-2, Kathmandu.

SP Pawan Bhattarai of the District Police Range Kathmandu told Ratopati that pieces of brick were found inside the cooker wrapped in paper on the inner road leading from Chapali to Bhanghal.

It was found that an active group aiming to disrupt the election had connected matches sticks to the cooker and left it. The suspicious object, found in the middle of the night, was neutralized by the bomb disposal team deployed from the Chhandan Nath Battalion of the army on Wednesday morning.

Although the suspicious object was found on the road leading from the Masala Factory to Chunikhel in Chapali, security personnel had restricted movement in the area throughout the night. Traffic has now resumed in that area.
