Nepali Congress Claims Over 5,800 Members Joined from Other Parties During Campaign

Kathmandu. The Nepali Congress has stated that 5,853 leaders and cadres joined the party from other political parties during its election campaign. Speaking at a press conference at the party's central office in Sanepa on Monday, spokesperson Devraj Chalise informed that most of the leaders and cadres who had previously left the party have also returned.

‘5,853 leaders and cadres from other parties have joined the Nepali Congress,’ spokesperson Chalise said, ‘Under the 'Return Home Campaign,' most of the leaders and cadres who had previously left the party have returned.’ 

Spokesperson Chalise also informed that Congress is deeply studying the government's work regarding the impartiality of the elections. He also stated that Congress is vigilant against any actions that might influence the elections.
