3,442 Temporary Voters Registered in Nawalparasi for Upcoming Federal Elections

Nawalparasi. A total of 3,442 temporary voters have been registered in Nawalparasi (Bardaghat Susta East) Nawalpur for the upcoming House of Representatives election. These voters will be eligible to cast their ballots under the Proportional Representation electoral system.

According to Lal Prasad Sharma Bhusal, Chief of the District Election Office, Nawalpur, one temporary polling station has been designated in the district. A temporary polling station has been set up at Shiva Sample Secondary School located in Kawasoti Municipality-2 of the district. Employees deployed for the election will vote from their respective assigned centers.

The provision allows individuals whose names are included in the voter list but are unable to travel to their designated polling station due to being deployed for election duty or other reasons to be included in the temporary voter list.

Employees working for the federal government, provincial government, local level, and government-owned entities, members of the army and police, inmates and prisoners in jails, election personnel, security personnel, and heads and officials of constitutional bodies are typically included in the temporary voter roll. For the upcoming election, Nawalpur, which has two constituencies for the House of Representatives, has a total of 268,526 voters. This includes Constituency No. 1 of the House of Representatives with 65,982 male voters, 71,098 female voters, and one other, totaling 137,081 voters.

Constituency No. 2 of the House of Representatives has 63,072 male voters, 68,370 female voters, and three other voters, totaling 131,445 voters. Nawalpur has 114 polling stations and 311 polling centers, with one temporary polling station. A total of 1,879 personnel have been mobilized across all polling stations.
