Nepal Expresses Deep Concern Over Latest Developments in the Middle East

Kathmandu. The Government of Nepal has expressed serious concern over the latest developments unfolding in the Middle East.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement on Sunday, stating that it is closely monitoring the situation there and urged all concerned parties to exercise maximum restraint.

The Ministry also appealed to prevent further escalation of tensions in the Middle East and to ensure the safety of ordinary citizens. Nepal emphasized that any differences and disputes should be resolved through diplomacy and dialogue.

The statement read, 'Nepal emphasizes that the sovereignty and territorial integrity of all nations must be respected in accordance with the Charter of the United Nations and international law.'

Furthermore, Nepal publicly stated its position that the rules-based international order must be upheld and that everyone must fulfill their responsibility to maintain international peace and security.
