Congress Chief Whip Thapa Demands Investigation into Media Gate Parking

Kathmandu. Nepali Congress Chief Whip Wasana Thapa has drawn serious attention to the incident of vehicles being parked at the main gates of mass media and demanded an impartial and reliable investigation into it. She stated that the truth of this incident, which directly affects the communication sector, should be made public transparently.

In a social media post on Facebook, Chief Whip Thapa stated that although disorganized parking is a common problem in urban areas, the parking of vehicles at the main entrances of mass media has raised natural questions. 'Why and who parked the vehicle there? Was it just a coincidence or is there a hidden purpose behind it?' Thapa questioned. She added that choosing a location that directly affects media organizations gives room to suspect the intention of the incident.

Leader Thapa demanded that the answers to these serious questions should come not from speculation, suspicion, or rumors, but from the impartial investigation of responsible state bodies. She stated that only by transparently revealing the factual details of the incident will confusion not arise among citizens and public trust in state mechanisms will be strengthened.

Thapa mentioned that free and fearless mass media are important pillars of democracy in modern society, and the government should be sensitive to stopping activities that undermine press freedom and the security of media houses and bringing the truth to light.
