Minister Inam Assures Fair Elections, Government Prepared for Upcoming Polls

Kathmandu. Minister for Land Management, Cooperatives and Poverty Alleviation, Dr. Kumar Inam, has stated that the government is prepared to conduct the elections in a fair manner.

Speaking at an event organized by the Press Council in Kathmandu on Sunday, Minister Inam mentioned that since the main mandate of the current government is the election, the government is ready to ensure the elections on Falgun 21 are conducted impartially.

He clarified that the government will not compromise on matters such as election management and security. He stated that the government is unconcerned with the mindset of some candidates who are determined to win at any cost in certain areas.

The Minister expressed the view that the government's concern is solely to create an environment where voters can attend polling stations safely and exercise their right to vote impartially. Minister Inam also clarified that the government will actively work to prevent the misuse of the silence period.

He emphasized that political parties and candidates must also be responsible for preventing any activities that might unduly influence voters.
