Nepali Embassy in Qatar Urges Citizens to Follow Security Directives Amid Regional Tensions

Doha. The Nepali Embassy in Qatar has requested Nepalis residing there to follow the security directives issued by the Qatari government. The embassy requested all Nepalis in Qatar to remain vigilant and safe in view of the latest developments in West Asia.

The embassy requested adherence to security advice and instructions issued by Qatari authorities, to stay indoors, take appropriate precautions, and not to believe rumors and unverified information coming from unknown sources.

The embassy requested not to forward unverified information, news, and 'video clips,' to continuously monitor and comply with official announcements and emergency alert messages, and to maintain regular contact with the embassy.

The embassy stated that it is in regular contact with Nepalis in Qatar through telephone and other means. There are currently 360,000 workers in Qatar.

Tensions have escalated in West Asia after Iran retaliated following a joint military attack by the United States and Israel on Iran on Saturday.
