Baburam Bhattarai's Party Backs Nepali Congress in Gorkha Elections

Pokhara. The Progressive Democratic Party (PrલોPA), affiliated with Dr. Baburam Bhattarai, has decided to support the Nepali Congress in Gorkha. The decision is to support the Congress in the direct elections in both constituencies of Gorkha.

PrલોPA District Chairman Narayan Khatri informed that the party has decided to vote for its own election symbol for proportional representation. Previously, in the 2074 elections, Dr. Bhattarai was elected from Gorkha 2 through an electoral alliance with the Nepali Congress in Gorkha.

'No further formal decision will come. In the current situation, our ideology aligns with the Congress. We have reached an agreement verbally between the two parties,' said Khatri, 'For now, cooperation will be with the Congress. This is our stance.'
