Election Materials Distributed Across All 165 Constituencies for Upcoming House of Representatives Vote

Kathmandu. Election materials for the House of Representatives elections scheduled for this Falgun 21 have reached all 165 constituencies across the country. Kul Bahadur GC, Assistant Spokesperson for the Election Commission, informed that a total of 40.153 million ballot papers for both the First-Past-the-Post (FPTP) and Proportional Representation (PR) systems have been delivered to all 165 constituencies in all 77 districts.

Preparations for the House of Representatives Election, 2082, are in the final stages. The management activities are proceeding according to the schedule approved by the Commission and are being conducted on time.

The printing of ballot papers for both the FPTP and PR systems has been completed and delivered to all 77 districts. Some materials will be managed at the district level. The Commission stated that all materials will be sent under the responsibility of the Voting Officer from the Election Officer's office.

In accordance with the approved program, a special voter education program has been ongoing since Falgun 3. Voter education will continue uninterrupted until Falgun 17 in 6,743 wards across 753 local levels. Monitoring and adherence to the election code of conduct are being continuously maintained, with mechanisms including the Central Code of Conduct Monitoring Committee actively performing their duties.

Political parties began their main campaign activities for the election starting this Falgun 4. The Commission has already directed political parties and candidates to conduct their campaigning in a polite and dignified manner, subject to prevailing laws and the code of conduct.
