Actors Bijay Baral and Keki Adhikari Win Top Honors at Virat Film and Music Awards

Kathmandu. Actor Bijay Baral and actress Keki Adhikari have been declared outstanding artists. Keki won this award for the film 'Boksi Ko Ghar' and Bijay for 'Purnabahadur Ko Sarangi' at the 'Virat Film and Music Award' held in the capital on Wednesday evening.

The film 'Satidevi,' directed by Laxman Subedi, bagged the award for Best Film at the ceremony. The 'Virat Film and Music Award,' organized with the objective of presenting awards and honors to creators in the Nepali song, music, and film sectors, was held this time in its fourth edition at the Film Development Board hall.

At the 'Fourth Virat Film and Music Award-2082,' held under the chief hospitality of Culture, Tourism, and Civil Aviation Minister Anil Kumar Sinha and special hospitality of Film Development Board Chairman Dinesh DC, awards were presented in 36 categories. According to the program coordinator Suraj Paudel, awards were presented in a total of 36 categories this year: 24 for music and 12 for film.

The awards organized by the Celebrity Nepal Foundation incorporated films released and songs/music made public in the year 2081 BS. At the awards, the 'Life Time Achievement Award' along with a cash prize of NPR 25,555 was presented to artist and director Subash Gajurel, and the Journalism Award along with a cash prize of NPR 11,111 was given to Krishna Bhattarai.

The program was chaired by Raghunath Sapkota, Chairman of the Celebrity Nepal Foundation. Writer and director Kaji Limbu, artist Shreya Dulal, producers Sunita Sapkota and Ramnarayan Upadhyaya, and Bigyan Shrestha were honored at the program.

Director and editor Raksha Singh Rana, cinematographer Shiva Dhakal, lyricist Pramod Dhungana, director Rishi Lamichhane, writer and director Amardeep Sapkota, and singer Navinkumar Paudel served as the judges for the award.
