Muglin-Narayangadh Road Closed Due to Landslide Risk

Chitwan. Due to the high risk of continuous rain and landslides, traffic has been completely stopped on the Muglin-Narayangadh road section. The District Administration Office, Chitwan, held an emergency meeting of the Disaster Management Committee and has stopped the operation of all types of vehicles in the said area until further notice for security reasons.

According to the Road Division Bharatpur, landslides with mud have occurred at various places on the Muglin-Narayangadh road section since yesterday evening, blocking the road on both sides. Although passengers and vehicles stranded midway were sent to their destinations after clearing the landslide until late yesterday evening, the risk remains as the rain has not stopped.

According to the update at 6:30 AM today, landslides have occurred again near Jalbire on this road section. The Road Division has informed that machines have been mobilized at the concerned location to remove the said landslide.

Due to continuous rain, there is a high risk of landslides occurring at any time in that area, so the administration has informed passengers to use alternative routes or stay in a safe place until further notice.
