Four Gandaki Province Roads Blocked Due to Landslides

Pokhara. Four roads in Gandaki Province have been obstructed due to landslides caused by continuous rain. Some roads are completely blocked, while one road is operating with one-way traffic only.

The Kaligandaki Corridor road section near Bispani in Gaidakot Municipality 3 of Nawalpur has been completely obstructed due to landslides and falling rocks, the police informed.

A landslide with trees has occurred in the Samsebola area of Putlibazar Municipality 14 in Syangja. The Siddhartha Highway, which was blocked for some time, has come into operation on one side.

The Beni Darbang road section at Ghumaine Bhir in Beni Municipality-4 of Myagdi has been completely obstructed due to a landslide with mud. Similarly, the Beni Jomsom road has been completely closed due to a landslide in the Naini Bhir area of Annapurna Rural Municipality 2, the police informed.

The police have urged people not to travel except for essential work in areas at risk of floods, landslides, and inundation during the monsoon season.
