Raswa District Accelerates CCTV Installation at Polling Stations Ahead of Elections

Raswa. To make the upcoming elections more transparent and reliable, the District Election Office has intensified the process of installing CCTV cameras at polling stations. It has been reported that the installation work has been completed at all centers in the Uttargaya Rural Municipality so far, and it will be completed soon in the remaining four rural municipalities. It is stated that such cameras will be installed at 36 polling stations.

During a press interaction organized to provide information about election preparations, District Election Officer Rajan Rai informed that the temporary voter list has been prepared, 383 personnel have been managed and deployed for voting, and the necessary training has also been provided to these personnel. According to him, 51 types of polling materials, including ballot boxes, are ready.

To make voter education effective, one volunteer each has been mobilized in 27 wards of the district, and one monitor each has been deployed in all five rural municipalities to collect daily progress reports. The office states that all necessary preparations have been completed to conduct the election in a clean, impartial, and fear-free environment.

The process of opening bank accounts in the names of all candidates to make election expenses transparent has also been completed. Mahesh Acharya, a Nayab Subba from the Election Office who hosted the program, informed that there are currently 41,471 voters in the district, and 12 candidates, including 9 political parties and three independents, are contesting in the election.
