Oli Claims Only CPN-UML Can Lead Nepal's Development and Prosperity

Kathmandu. CPN-UML Chairman and former Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has claimed that no one other than UML can lead the development and prosperity of the country. He stated this on Monday while addressing a committee formation and declaration program of the Koshi Province-level 'National Volunteer Force' held in Jhapa.

Chairman Oli mentioned that the general public is aware of UML's image as being pro-development. He stated that the country cannot develop under the 'visionless' politics of the opposition parties. Oli clarified that the National Volunteer Force is not just for elections but is a disciplined contingent that will always remain active for the protection of peace, order, and democracy in the country.

Chairman Oli challenged the opposition by presenting UML's report card regarding development. He said, 'Those who ask what UML has done should look at the example of Mahakali or Darchula. Stand anywhere in the country and look around; you will see the development done by UML. The capacity of UML to drive development is clear from where you stand.'

Giving the example of Damak and Jhapa, he said, 'Yesterday, programs had to be held in Damak using petromax lamps; today, there is electricity in every house. Yesterday, we had to drink red water from hand pumps; today, water tanks have been erected. Blacktopped roads have reached in front of houses. Yet, some people ask, 'What has been done so far?' This is either the talk of someone who doesn't understand, or it is prejudice.'

Speaking about the upcoming elections, Oli directed the National Volunteer Force to create an environment for peaceful voting.

Oli discussed the projects initiated during his tenure but currently halted, stating that UML must return to government to complete those works. Speaking about the Lakhanpur stadium controversy, he said, 'Some parties tried to stop the work by creating unnecessary disputes. Complications were created in the name of indigenous nationalities. I want to ask, why couldn't others build a single stadium during their five years in leadership? Only KP Oli and UML can do that work, and we will definitely complete that stadium.'

Regarding the landless squatters' problem, he said, 'Our preparations for distributing land ownership documents were interrupted when the government fell. The commission was dissolved. But we have brought the commission back through the Supreme Court. CPN-UML will provide a permanent solution to the problem of the landless and squatters.'

Chairman Oli guaranteed the development of Jhapa, Koshi Province, and the entire nation. 'The responsibility for the development of this district, province, and country is mine; you all rest assured. Today, road networks have reached from Humla's Simikot to Olangchung Gola. This is all a result of UML's planning and determination,' he claimed. Chairman Oli announced a major leap for the country's economy through the excavation of Nepal's natural resources and minerals.

Oli stated that during his time in government, the modernization of the Daudabadi iron ore mine and the excavation of methane gas in Dailekh were prioritized.

'UML Builds, Does Not Destroy'

He urged people across the country to make UML victorious and called for voting for the Sun symbol. Stating that UML's resolution is a prosperous Nepal and happy Nepalis, he asserted that UML builds but never destroys.
