2,300 Drivers Fined for Traffic Violations in 24 Hours, Rs 2.08 Million Revenue Generated

Kathmandu. In the past 24 hours, two thousand 300 drivers have been booked for violating traffic rules. Rs 2.08 million revenue has been deposited in the state treasury from this.

According to the Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office, 104 people who consumed alcohol, 177 who engaged in 'ride sharing' against the rules, 147 signal light violators, and 105 who drove vehicles at high speed were booked.

Similarly, 56 who did not follow 'lane' discipline, 152 who honked in prohibited areas, 113 who 'parked' vehicles on the road shoulder, 141 who drove on one-way roads, and one thousand 305 who did not follow other traffic rules were booked.
