Patan High Court Denies Interim Order to Halt CDS and Clearing Ltd. MD Praveen Pandey from Work

Kathmandu. The Patan High Court has rejected the interim order sought to stop Praveen Pandey, Managing Director of CDS and Clearing Limited (CDSC), from carrying out his duties. A joint bench of Justices Somakanta Mainali and Narayan Prasad Subedi issued this order on Friday.

The court determined that an immediate interim order was unnecessary, stating that the matter would be addressed during the final hearing after seeking a written response from the opposition.

Petitioner Uttam Bahadur Shrestha had filed a writ of certiorari demanding the cancellation of Praveen Pandey's appointment as Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of CDSC and sought an order to stop him from working.

The Board of Directors of CDSC had decided to appoint Pandey as the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer on the last date of Poush 14, 2081 BS.
