2,299 Drivers Penalized for Traffic Violations in Kathmandu Valley in 24 Hours

Kathmandu. In the last 24 hours, two thousand 299 drivers have been penalized for violating traffic rules by the Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police. The Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office has stated that Rs 21 lakh 86 thousand 503 revenue has been deposited into the state treasury from this. Traffic Police Spokesperson and Deputy Superintendent of Police Nareshraj Subedi informed that 95 people who consumed intoxicating substances, 99 who engaged in 'ride sharing' against the rules, 129 signal light violators, and 147 who drove vehicles at high speed were penalized.

According to him, 108 who did not follow 'lane' discipline, 115 who honked in prohibited areas, 87 who parked vehicles on the footpath, 98 who drove vehicles on one-way roads, and one thousand 421 others who violated traffic rules were penalized.
