MP Basana Thapa Demands Minister Sunil Lamsal's Presence in Infrastructure Development Committee Meeting

Kathmandu. MP Basana Thapa has demanded the mandatory presence of Infrastructure Development Minister Sunil Lamsal in the meeting of the Infrastructure Development Committee. While presenting her views in the meeting, MP Thapa addressed the chairman and urged him to immediately arrange for the minister's presence as she needed to convey the issues she was about to raise directly to the minister.

Speaking in the meeting, MP Thapa said, 'It would be good if the minister came when we present our points. We have heard the views of others (other members/stakeholders), but we should also get to present our points to the minister.'

Stating that the parliamentary session (Sadan) is also about to start soon and she has to attend another meeting, she took a stance not to speak without the minister's presence due to time constraints.

'Today's topic is a very important issue that I want to convey to the minister. It's a matter of 15/20 minutes, but you must bring him before I speak,' MP Thapa demanded from the chairman.

She clarified that the chairman, Ashish Gajurel, had informed about the minister's arrival at the beginning of the meeting, and they were waiting without wanting to disrupt the program in the middle.

After MP Thapa took a stance not to speak until the minister arrived, the committee chairman responded by saying he would call Minister Lamsal and proceed with other discussions until then.
