UN Reports at Least 15 Children Killed in Drone Attack on Sudan Displacement Camp

Kathmandu. The United Nations on Wednesday reported that at least 15 children were killed in a drone attack earlier this week at a displacement camp in Sudan.

A statement issued by the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) said, "At least 15 children were killed and 10 injured in a drone attack on the displacement camp in Al-Sunut, West Kordofan, on February 16."

UNICEF Executive Director Catherine Russell stated, "We are seeing similarly disturbing patterns from Darfur, where people are being killed, injured, displaced, and cut off from essential services to survive."
