Jeep Accident in Jumla Injures Seven, Two Critically

Jumla. Seven people were injured when a jeep met with an accident in Dhaulapani, Tatopani Rural Municipality-6, Jumla, on Thursday afternoon.

The jeep, traveling from Jumla towards Nagma, lost control and fell about 50 meters down the road at 12:05 PM. Two of the injured are reported to be in critical condition.

Immediately following the accident, a mobile team of the Armed Police Force Nepal, deployed for election security, coordinated with local police to rescue the injured. The rescue operation was expedited because security personnel assigned to the security for the elections scheduled for Falgun 21 were immediately present at the scene.

According to Armed Police Force Spokesperson Armed Police Deputy Inspector General Bishnu Prasad Bhatta, the injured were immediately taken to Karnali Academy of Health Sciences for further treatment. The preliminary assumption is that the jeep accident occurred due to excessive speed.
