Five Dead in Apartment Fire in Northeastern Spain

Spain. At least five people have died in a fire at a residential building in northeastern Spain. Four others sustained minor injuries.

According to a statement released by the Catalan regional fire service, the fire suddenly broke out in a five-story residential building in the city of Manlleu, Barcelona province. Although the firefighting team extinguished the fire in about half an hour, five people were found dead on the roof of the building. Four others suffered minor injuries.

Police, with the assistance of local patrol teams, have begun an investigation to determine the cause of the fire. According to officials, the process of identifying the deceased is currently underway.
