Senior Communist Leader Shrestha Claims Party is Key Force in Defending Political Change

Sarlahi. Senior leader of the CPN and former Deputy Prime Minister Narayan Kaji Shrestha has claimed that his party is the main force in defending the political change and struggling against regression.

Speaking at an election program organized in Sarlahi, he stated that the party played a historic role in securing the political achievements gained in the country.

Shrestha accused some forces of conspiring to weaken the current change and impose regression by reversing the achievements. He clarified that his party will always remain committed to safeguarding the constitution, democracy, and republic, and advancing the country on the path to prosperity. He claimed that the party has played a leading role in the work of socio-economic transformation, establishing good governance, and launching a campaign for social justice after the political change.

He mentioned that the party supports the issues raised by the younger generation recently, especially the voice of 'Gen Z'. Opposing any form of oppression against the youth, he noted that the party will continue to reform itself according to the aspirations of the youth. He stated that good governance against corruption, transformation of political parties, political stability, and development are the main goals now.

He expressed confidence that if true and factual information reaches the people, they will strengthen his party further to protect the constitution and democracy. Stating that the support of the people is indispensable in the journey of development and prosperity, he urged everyone to stand in favor of change.
