Three Arrested in Pokhara with Large Quantity of Brown Sugar, Cash Seized

Pokhara. Police in Pokhara Metropolitan City-11, Janajagruti Tole, have arrested three individuals along with a significant amount of brown sugar. Acting on a tip-off regarding drug trafficking, a joint police team apprehended them along with 24.15 grams of brown heroin (brown sugar).

Those arrested have been identified as 30-year-old Roshan Gurung residing in Pokhara-11, 44-year-old Biswas Gurung from Annapurna Rural Municipality-4 residing in the same area, and 41-year-old Ganga Purja from Myagdi residing in Pokhara-31 Mohariya. The drugs were discovered during a search of their bodies and room conducted by a team comprising the Nepal Police Provincial Office Pokhara, the Narcotics Control Bureau, and the Ward Police Office Rambazar.

Police also recovered cash amounting to 1 lakh 42 thousand rupees, one digital scale, and four mobile sets from various companies at the scene, along with the brown sugar.

The investigation against the three arrested individuals has been advanced after obtaining a five-day remand from the Kaski District Court for a case related to narcotics, informed District Police Office Kaski's Information Officer and Deputy Superintendent of Police Haribahadur Basnet.
