Home Minister Stresses Importance of Strategic Conference for Stronger Police Force

Kathmandu. Home Minister Om Prakash Aryal stated that a strategic conference is crucial for a capable and robust police organization. While inaugurating the Nepal Police Strategic Conference-2082 today, he expressed confidence that such conferences would play a supportive role in boosting the morale of the police personnel who have become physically and mentally weakened due to poor performance.

He mentioned that such conferences would help shape the police organization according to the expectations of the general public. Home Minister Aryal assured that the Ministry of Home Affairs would provide full support and cooperation in incorporating the opinions and suggestions received from the conference moving forward. He expressed confidence that the conference would involve in-depth discussions on the problems observed in police management and operations.

Inspector General of Police Dan Bahadur Karki stated that such conferences would assist in controlling the various types of crimes that have been increasing recently alongside the use of technology.

"Along with traditional crimes, organized crime, cybercrime, and international crimes are making the country and society complex; in-depth discussions will be held at the conference for their prevention," he said. He stated that the conference was organized to seek the opinions and suggestions of subject matter experts for controlling crime in society.

The Police Headquarters announced that the two-day conference will discuss various types of crimes occurring in society and the steps that need to be adopted for their control.
