Experts Urge Nepal to Capitalize on China's Openness and 15th Five-Year Plan Benefits

Experts on Nepal-China relations have stated that Nepal should directly benefit from China's openness and its 15th Five-Year Plan. At an event organized by 'Friend on Cloud' in Kathmandu, Royal Acharya, a scholar and researcher on China's development, presented a working paper on China's upcoming Five-Year Plan and Nepal's opportunities. His working paper summarized the key features of China's 15th Five-Year Plan. Issues such as national security and sustainable development, youth-centric policies, skill-based policies, service-oriented causes, agriculture-based production, quality production, rural development, and investment are included in the plan. Dr. Raghu Wagle and Dr. Mukti Rijal commented on his report. They stated that Nepal should learn from China regarding long-term vision and work on development. Senior artist Madandas Shrestha, water resource expert Krishna Prasad Bhandari, and RPP leader Shyam Ghimire were honored at the event. –News Agency Nepal
