2,535 Drivers Penalized for Traffic Violations in 24 Hours

Kathmandu. In the past 24 hours, two thousand 535 drivers have been penalized for violating traffic rules. A revenue of Rs 1.977 million has been deposited into the state treasury from this.

According to the Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office, 101 individuals for driving under the influence of alcohol, 129 for illegal 'ride sharing', 106 for signal violations, and 138 for speeding were penalized.

Similarly, 81 individuals for not following 'lane' discipline, 141 for honking in prohibited areas, 117 for parking vehicles on the sidewalk, 113 for driving on one-way streets, and one thousand 609 individuals for not following other traffic rules were penalized.
