Nishkal Rai Elected from Ilam Constituency 1

Kathmandu. Nishkal Rai became involved in student politics while studying at Shankar Dev Campus. He became a candidate in the Free Student Union election from Nepal Student Union on campus but was defeated. After that, he remained somewhat inactive in student politics.

He started becoming active in the mother party, Nepali Congress. After teaching at Shankar Dev for a few years, he returned to his home district Ilam due to family reasons, where he remained active in Congress politics. In the House of Representatives election held on Falgun 21, he became the Congress candidate from Ilam Constituency Number 1 and was also elected.

Rai, who is currently the Chief Whip of the Nepali Congress Parliamentary Party, is praised for the issues he raises and the role he plays in the parliament. With a gentle nature, he only presents his points in parliament after considerable study.
