Street Light Installation Begins on Koteshwor-Kalanki Road

Kathmandu. Street light installation work has started on the Koteshwor–Kalanki Ring Road section, which has been facing a lack of street light arrangements for a long time. It is expected that night travel will be safer, easier, and more organized with the installation of street lights on this route, considered one of the busiest road sections in the capital.

For years after the road expansion was completed, drivers and pedestrians faced various problems due to insufficient street lights. The risk of accidents increased due to darkness, and security challenges were also visible.

It is believed that the ongoing street light installation work, once completed, will reduce night-time vehicle accidents, improve traffic management, and have a positive impact on public safety. Additionally, with modern road infrastructure, the illuminated road is expected to enhance the beauty of the capital.

The Koteshwor–Kalanki Ring Road section is one of the main transportation routes in the Kathmandu Valley. This eight-lane expanded road serves as a main artery connecting various parts of the valley.
