Former President Yadav Stresses Importance of India's Technical and Economic Assistance to Nepal

Kathmandu. Former President Dr. Ram Baran Yadav stated that the technical and economic assistance provided by India to Nepal is significant. Speaking at the '61st Indian Technical and Economic Cooperation Day' organized by the Indian Embassy on Friday, he recalled India's contribution to Nepal's development, emphasizing the importance of its input in technical and economic progress.

"Nepal-India share a historic religious and cultural relationship," said former President Dr. Yadav, adding, "The contribution made in areas ranging from health and physical infrastructure to education and technology is significant." He expressed confidence that the cooperation from the Government of India, which has been providing remarkable assistance to Nepal's development, will remain effective in the coming days.

Indian Ambassador to Nepal, Naveen Srivastava, informed that more than 35,000 people, including government employees, police, Nepali Army personnel, and journalists from various sectors in Nepal, have received training. Cultural programs were also held on the occasion to share training experiences.
