Alia Bhatt to Star in New Social Drama 'Housewife', Co-Producing Under Her Banner

Mumbai. Bollywood's versatile actress Alia Bhatt is currently in the spotlight due to her diverse projects. After the action film 'Alpha' and the period drama 'Love & War', she will now be seen in a social drama film based on relationships titled 'Housewife'. This film is being produced by Abhishek Pathak, the director of 'Drishyam 2'.

According to a report by Variety India, Alia will play the lead role in this film. Discussions are underway with Rajkummar Rao for the main male lead, although an official announcement is yet to be made. 

In this film, Alia will not only be an actress but will also be associated as a co-producer through her company 'Eternal Sunshine Productions'. She will be moving this project forward in collaboration with Abhishek Pathak's Panorama Studios.

Filming for the movie is likely to commence from August-September this year. Director Pathak will advance this project after completing work on 'Drishyam 3'.

Alia is currently very busy. Her pipeline includes Shiv Rawal's action thriller 'Alpha', where she will be seen in the powerful role of a female commanding officer. This film is part of the YRF Spy Universe, which also stars Bobby Deol in a key role.

In addition to this, Alia will be seen with Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's ambitious film 'Love & War'. She is also in discussions for other big projects, including Maddock Films' horror-comedy 'Chhamunda' slated for 2027. 

She was last seen in Vasen Bala's film 'Jigra'.
