CPN-UML Names Party Chairman KP Sharma Oli as Candidate for Next Prime Minister

Kathmandu. The Communist Party of Nepal (UML) has put forward its Chairman, KP Sharma Oli, as the candidate for the next Prime Minister.

Speaking at a press conference held today at the CPN-UML's central office in Chyasal, party Vice-Chairman Ram Bahadur Thapa clarified that the party is heading into the elections with the proposal of Chairman Oli as the future Prime Minister, citing the need to defend the nation and re-establish patriotic and democratic forces.

He mentioned the necessity of electing those who build the nation, expressing confidence that the public will consider the situation where various elements dominated and displaced the previous government while Nepal was experiencing economic growth and working on an integrated blueprint for prosperity. He also emphasized that the Supreme Court should rule quickly on the issue of parliament reinstatement.
