CPN-UML Vice Chairman Thapa Reveals Party's Stance on Electoral Alliances Against 'Nation Burners'

Kathmandu. CPN-UML Vice Chairman Ram Bahadur Thapa Badal has revealed that the party's policy is to forge electoral alliances with political parties that oppose those who seek to burn the nation. He also stated that discussions are underway with such parties.

Vice Chairman Thapa made this revelation during a press conference held at the UML party office in Chyasal on Wednesday.

'The party's policy is to forge electoral alliances with parties that stand against those who burn the nation,' Badal said, 'In the 165 constituencies, wherever there are parties ready to oppose the nation burners, cooperation can happen in a win-win situation in specific constituencies, considering the interests of both sides.'

In this context, Vice Chairman Thapa stated that an agreement has been reached for cooperation with the party led by Janardan Sharma and Baburam Bhattarai, the Nepal Samajbadi Party (NSP).

'Cooperation may happen with others in some constituencies as well. Discussions are ongoing regarding that,' Thapa said, 'Efforts from all sides will continue until before Falgun 21, and agreements for cooperation may be reached in some places at the last moment.'
