Former Minister Kulman Ghising Argues National Prosperity Requires More Than Just Lighting One Area

Former Minister and Chairman of the Ujyalo Nepal Party, Kulman Ghising, stated that the nation cannot achieve prosperity by illuminating just one area. Ghising, who is a candidate for Kathmandu Constituency Number 3 in the upcoming House of Representatives election, clarified during his door-to-door campaign in the বৌদ্ধ खाईबाटोल–भुवालडाँडा area that he has entered politics to dispel the darkness engulfing the entire country.

Ghising, who led the Nepal Electricity Authority after spending a long time in the bureaucratic machinery, concluded that the country's face cannot be transformed through the technical sector alone. Stressing that illuminating just one corner is insufficient, he emphasized the need to reach the political leadership to illuminate the whole nation and end mismanagement in all sectors. Asserting that the country will not progress through mere talk, he maintained that reaching the executive level, specifically the Prime Minister's position, is essential to get work done. He pointed out the necessity of correct leadership to eradicate poverty, eliminate corruption, and create employment to build a self-reliant economy.

Ghising urged voters to change their voting patterns in the upcoming election. He suggested abandoning the tendency to always vote for old parties based on generational legacy. Having tested old leaders and parties multiple times, he stated that a new and correct person capable of delivering results must now be chosen. He claimed that the country will find a way out only if people who have already proven themselves through past work enter parliament, emphasizing that being new alone is not enough.

During his campaign, he committed to resolving issues such as roads and lighting in the Baudha area. He mentioned that regardless of winning or losing, he will remain continuously engaged in the work of the people. Ghising also declared that if the public trusts and elects him this time, he will not return to ask for votes in the next election. He asserted that he would create an environment where people vote for him automatically after seeing genuine work being done.
