Government's Call for Participation in National Reconstruction

The Minister for Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation, Kulman Ghising, has called on everyone to contribute to a reconstruction fund established by the government. This fund is for rebuilding the physical damage caused by the Ganatantra (Republic) movement.

Reconstruction Committee and Plan

A reconstruction committee has been formed under the leadership of Finance Minister Rameshwar Khannal. Minister Ghising informed this during a press conference on Thursday. He announced that the committee is set to approve a reconstruction work plan, which will allow the rebuilding efforts to begin officially.

Appeal for National and International Support

Minister Ghising stated that the fund aims to address the significant damage caused to physical structures by fires and vandalism. In a written statement read at the press conference, he extended the government's invitation for contributions. He called upon the Nepal Government, provincial and local governments, the private sector, citizens both at home and abroad, the Non-Resident Nepali community, friendly nations, development partners, and international organizations to provide valuable support. The goal is for everyone to participate in this major national campaign for reconstruction.
