Elderly Man Dies After Falling While Grazing Goats in Humla
In Humla, an elderly man passed away after falling from a hillside while grazing goats. The incident occurred in Adanchuli Village Municipality, where the man had gone to the forest to graze his goats.
Fatal Fall in the Forest
On Saturday, the 36-year-old man, identified as a resident of Majhkhark in Adanchuli-3, fell from a steep slope near a place called Panitotka while tending to his goats. He died at the scene.
Search and Discovery
The man had gone to the forest from the grazing area but did not return by evening. When he failed to come back, his wife went looking for him and found his body about 100 meters below the hillside in the Panitotka forest. His daughter-in-law, Shanti Bumi (Budha), shared the details.
Challenges in Retrieving the Body
The forest where the incident happened is far from home, located across the Gulfagad stream. Local residents had to go to the area to retrieve the body. Since only the deceased and his wife lived in the grazing area, the family was informed only in the morning. After receiving the news, locals went to bring the body home.
Current Situation in the Area
At this time, all livestock in the area are being kept within the grazing grounds for safety. The community is assisting the family during this difficult time.
