Gyanendra Shahi Challenges Prime Minister to Arrest Those Involved in Audio Bribery Scandal
Kathmandu — Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) lawmaker Gyanendra Shahi has demanded the immediate arrest and investigation of the former Minister of General Administration and the current Minister of Land Reform, who are allegedly involved in an audio-recorded bribery scandal.
Writing in a social media post, Shahi questioned their morality and urged Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli to take prompt action.
On Wednesday, Shahi wrote in his post:
“If even a little bit of morality remains, Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli should have the former Minister of General Administration and the current Minister of Land Reform arrested, kept in custody, and investigated.”
Government’s Silence Raises Questions
He also criticized the government for trying to cover up the issue even though audio evidence of bribery has already been made public. Shahi said this attempt to hide the truth raises serious questions about the Prime Minister and his office itself.
