President Oli in the mood of the 11th Congress within 2082

Kathmandu. CPN-UML is preparing for the second legislative convention to be held in about 3 and a half months. UML is preparing to fix the date of the 11th National Convention immediately after the Legislative Convention if the situation does not become adverse.

The UML has decided to hold the second Legislative Convention from 20th to 22nd of August and said that it will collect suggestions for amending the Constitution within the month of May in preparation for the said convention. Will do.

UMA standing committee member and head of the organization department Kashinath Adhikari said that the work of the legislative convention is going on according to the decision of the secretariat. He said that the floor committees have been given time to send to the provinces for membership renewal and online updates, and the provinces have sent circulars to the center by May 15.

The official says that along with the membership work, suggestions for legislative amendments will be collected in the month of May.

‘Various proposals are submitted in the Legislative Assembly. According to Acharya, sub-committees are formed after meeting to prepare proposals related to political, organizational and legislation. 

There is a statutory provision of the UML to hold a legislative convention between two national conventions. According to the same arrangement, the date of the Legislative Assembly has been fixed in 082 August. Earlier, UML had held its tenth national convention in November 2078 and its legislative convention was held in Godavari from October 15 to 17 of the same year. UML has said that since the representatives of the legislative convention will remain the same as the previous national convention, there is no need to choose representatives. This convention will make all the policies of the party, Acharya told Ratopati, ‘ The party membership renewal work has been done by the end of May, and the previous secretariat meeting has said that by the end of June, i.e. the month of May, the amendments to the constitution and the proposed issues should be given as suggestions to the party committees.’ According to him, the committees will give suggestions as to the problems encountered while working.

UML has said that it will write a report on the legislation after the suggestions are received. UML held its first legislative convention only 2 months before the national convention, but this time it is going to hold its legislative convention 15 months before the scheduled time, so it is understood by the UML leaders and workers that the national convention may also be postponed. But the date has not been decided, Acharya said, ‘The party will decide the date about the national convention only after the legislative convention.’

Acharya is of the opinion that the possibility of the national convention being held within the year 2082 cannot be denied.
