Singer Eleena Chauhan files for divorce
Kathmandu, January 31 — Renowned singer Eleena Chauhan has filed for divorce at the Kathmandu District Court. The lawsuit was filed through her lawyer, Bishnu Prasad Kharel.
Eleena married Bishnu Sapkota, a resident of Baglung, in Baisakh. However, recent discussions have suggested that their marital life has faced significant issues.
In her petition to the court, Eleena revealed that her work as an artist often requires her to attend late-night events, which led to suspicions from her husband.
She also mentioned that although the initial days of their marriage were peaceful, tensions began to rise over time, prompting her to return to Nepal from Australia to live independently.
Eleena stated that despite maintaining a legal marriage, the emotional bond with her husband had weakened, and it no longer seemed appropriate for them to continue as husband and wife.
Consequently, she has sought legal dissolution of their marriage.
