Prachanda claims Oli govt won’t last long, with Congress leaders by his side
Kathmandu, January 21 — Former Prime Minister and Chairman of the CPN (Maoist Center) Pushpakamal Dahal 'Prachanda' has reiterated that the government led by KP Oli's alliance will not last long.
Speaking with the media in Chitwan on Tuesday, he made predictions about the future of the Oli government.
Prachanda, also the leader of the main opposition party, claimed that the government would not last long, with Congress's former general secretary Dr. Shashank Koirala and leader Dr. Chandra Bhandari standing beside him on the podium.
"We don't believe this government will last long. I have been clear about this. It's unnatural, it's not transparent, and the actions taken by the government have been contradictory. It's embarrassing that even ordinances have been introduced," he said.
In the same discussion, Prachanda was seen laughing with Congress leader Bhandari in a video, while Koirala also hinted at the possibility of the government collapsing. Koirala argued that changes in government are natural in politics.
"We wanted a stable government with the two main parties united. Therefore, the possibility of the government collapsing is less, but politics is unpredictable, anything can happen," he said.
Prachanda also emphasized that the ruling coalition needs to clarify its stance on constitutional amendments, stating that such changes cannot be based on assumptions.
