Police seize empty vessel from Dharan Mayor Sampang at Singha Durbar (photos)

Kathmandu, January 21 — The Mayor of Dharan Sub-Metropolitan City, Harka Sampang, arrived at Singha Durbar on Tuesday.

He came to the government's main administrative office with the aim of informing the Prime Minister and the Minister of Drinking Water about the water crisis in Dharan.

Sampang had come to Kathmandu with an empty water vessl yesterday, expressing frustration that the government had ignored the drinking water problem in Dharan. However, he was not allowed to enter Singha Durbar with the vessel.

While responding to media at Singha Durbar, Sampang confirmed that the police had seized the vessel.
